Terms of use.

These terms cover your use of ThaiDai. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. The short version: use the product as intended, don't redistribute the audio or content, treat the service kindly, and we'll do the same.

The service

ThaiDai is a Thai-language learning tool: a curated vocabulary list with native-quality audio, grammar lessons, and a spaced-repetition practice deck. Some features are free, some are reserved for Pro accounts.

Your account

• One account per person. Don't share sign-in links.
• Sign-in is via magic link sent to your email. Keep that inbox secure — anyone with access to it can sign in as you.
• You can delete your account at any time; see the privacy notice for what happens to your data.

Acceptable use

• No scraping the vocabulary, audio, or lesson content.
• No redistributing the audio files or content in any other product or dataset.
• No automated bulk requests, no abusive load on the API, and no attempts to bypass rate limits or paywalls.
• No reverse-engineering or tampering with the service to extract content at scale.

If you want to use the content beyond personal study — for a school, a podcast, a YouTube series — get in touch first. We're usually happy to help, but on terms.

Pricing and billing

• Pro is available as a recurring subscription or a one-time lifetime upgrade. The current options and prices are shown on the upgrade page.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By upgrading you agree to Stripe's terms as well as ours.
• 30-day refund, no questions asked. After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion.
• Subscription prices may change. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before any increase, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.
• Lifetime access means lifetime of the product, not lifetime of the universe.

Content and ownership

The Thai vocabulary, lesson copy, and generated audio remain our intellectual property and are licensed to you for personal study only. The Thai language itself is, of course, not ours; the curation and presentation are.

As-is, no warranties

ThaiDai is a learning aid, not a certified translation service. We work hard on accuracy and tone, but you should not rely on the content for legal, medical, or business communication where precision matters. We provide the service as-is and to the extent allowed by law, without warranties of any kind.

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, breach these terms, or harm other users. Where possible we'll warn first. You can terminate your account at any time by emailing us.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of ThaiDai is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales unless local consumer law gives you a stronger right.

Changes

If we change these terms in any meaningful way, we'll update this page and email anyone with an active account. The effective date at the top reflects the latest revision.
